♥ first day on the job (:
AAHH AHH AHHHH!!!
Today was my first day at work, and i'm just blogging now because i don't have anything better to do. besides qt, which i'm gonnna push my lazy butt to go do after i'm done here.
I tell you, being a teacher really rocks (: aside from the fact that i have to put lots of crosses on english papers and give a couple of 10/60s, the taiwan kids are really really fun!
Okay, so they don't understand a word of english i'm saying. but they're nice (: I was talking to them in class today with a short briefing. and i said "if there is a single point in time where you don't know understand what i'm saying, please let me know"
Everyone stares blankly at me.
"If you guys don't understand me, let me know, ok?"
They still stare blankly at me.
(In chinese) "Do you understand what i'm saying?"
(In chinese) "NO."
(In chinese) "If you don't understand me, you must let me know immediately."
SIGH.
Ah well, then i brought them for lunch at the canteen (: That's when they started to bully me. Do I have a please-bully-me face? This keeps happening everywhere -__- anyway! So I sat together with them for lunch right. And these kids are eating cai fan. you know? And normal people use fork and spoon. but noooo, some of them take chopsticks and spoon. and the cai fan is like.. on a normal plate. -_-
The moment I started to comment, they accused me of not being able to use a pair of chopsticks. so FINE, I showed them. muahahaha... [Oh btw, all this was happening in chinese]
OH OH OH!!
One of the 14 year olds from taiwan said my chinese not bad le!! I'M SO PLEASED. =D But she kept teasing me too. See, they have two caretakers. And one is 22 year old, fairly pretty. So, they kept hinting to me (very openly) and asking me whether I liked her. -_- and when she walked over, they started to say "lao shi (that's me) thinks you're very pretty!!" Then I was like "WHAAAT!"
Quite funny la. lots of things happened (: like when she (the pretty 22 year old) poured out sour plum juice and all of them didn't want, I took it. And drank it. And it was pretty good (: it wasn't disgustingly sour or anything, and it was nice and sweet. so I exclaimed, "hey! This is pretty good stuff!" and they started winking at me and saying "orrhhh.. it must be because SHE poured it." So irritating, but quite cute la. hahaha!! i mean the kids, not the teacher. and there is this 11 year old boy that can't stop talking about sex related stuff. like.. -_____- It came to a point that the moment he started to say something, i'll go "Eh. How old are you ah." I mean, HELLO, 11 year old kid talking about stuff like that?!
Seems i'm quite well-liked anyway (: cos there are two classes, and the taiwan kids were split into the better class and the weaker class. and I got the weaker class. Over lunch, some of the A class girls were lamenting about what they didn't get me as a teacher. cos they say the other teacher very stern. and i guess by implication, i'm fun to be with!! HAHA =D quite flattering la. X) Looks like i'll have a good time teaching these kids, unless they decide to bully me during class. then i'll have to put my stern face. muahahaha. (:
okiee.. that's it (: BYEE PEOPLE!
p.s: Adult fare hurts. i spend $3-4 on PUBLIC transport to get to and fro from the school =(
