♥ Back from NS for two days..

Behold he stands.

For those that are wondering why i'm blogging now, instead of the expected 27th of april, I woke up yesterday with a high fever.. 38.9 degrees on average. =S besides that, i had a bad cough, with phlegm (green colour), headaches, and a sore throat. I was feeling absolutely horrible. To put it in a nutshell, the medical officer sent me home for two days and i slept it all away =P (yes, i am THAT tired)

well.. i'll just talk a BIT about army life.

Basically, it's tough, really tough. It's about one degree hotter on tekong, and that makes a lot of difference. Time moves a lot slower, and i mean A LOT. We can wake up, have breakfast, and chiong PT like mad.. after what seems to be an eternity, we all sorta expect it to be around 2pm or something. but to our horror, our watch says it's only 9am. and all of us are like ?!?!?!??! We end up doing as much as three seperate intense trainings a day.

and the food at tekong isn't exactly fanastic either.

BUT, there are three luxuries in army. =)

1) Food
2) Clean Clothes
3) Showers

Showers are... really good. hahaha.. (: for the first time since forever, i actually didn't bathe for 48 hours. the feeling was.. horrid. Bathing later felt so SO good (:

I know i said the food isn't that great, but we tend to get hungry very easily. We literally feel like we're starving between meals. So yeah, food is still one of the perks in army (:

BUNK MATES!

I like my section =D To those that don't know, a section is basically your bunk mates. A platoon is made up for 4 sections, basically it's one level of people. A company is made of 4 platoons, which is basically one building of people. (I'm in platoon 4, so that puts me on the highest level of the building)

They are a lot bunch of crazy guys, quite nice to talk to, and generally rowdy =) And to some of my company mates, i'm known as KFC. Because my name tag says K F Chong. :P It's fun la, overall. (: but tiring, haha.

And oh yeah!

I didn't meet the mark of medicine. They rejected me. How about that :P

anyway.. heading back to tekong tonight. (: see you guys!

♥ FBTS!!

okay. everyone has talked about the issue of FBTS and it's now MY TURN. =D

ai, actually i'm not in the mood. but i figure i'll post it before i enlist tomorrow :P

firstly, FBTs are disgusting. really.
*dodges thrown vegetables coming from the female gender*

Really!!

The reason being, it reveals the ENTIRE leg. give or take a couple of cm. and girls? yes, guys DO look at your legs. i mean, let's face it, guys are visually stimulated, and generally perverts. including yours truly. So.. FBTs make guys.. quite.. you know. so it's not very nice. and i don't like the way it makes us distracted. So yeah. DON'T WEAR FBTS.

but wait. (so says the girl) FBTs aren't the problem, GUYS are the problem. granted. but guys are guys. you can't change them. i mean, we try. we really do. (at least i do) but we would appreciate it a lot more if you didn't stick temptation right in our faces. yeah.

OKAY. that being said, i understand that some guys are of the opinion that girls should not wear FBTs at all for sports. i... disagree.

why?

Because they need to wear it. So they tell me. So a good christian brother tells me. Okay so I believe it. Anyway, when u're doing sports, guys generally won't get distracted by the cut of your shorts. because they're most concerned with the running or whatever you're doing.

How about wearing FBTs in your own house? What the heck man, just wear it. It's YOUR house. Absolutely, by all means. But i mean.. if a bunch of guys are visiting your house, it would be nice but not necessary for you to change into something else. REALLY, i don't think you need to. it's your house, and i don't think you have to change out of FBTs if u're going downstairs to a hawker centre either (but i would definietely put on something else besides my boxers if i'm going to a nearby hawker centre :P)

oh yeah, my equivalent for girls wearing FBTs are guys wearing boxers. (YES, guys DO wear boxers with nothing else at home. I don't though.)

At the end of the day though, I honestly feel that it's up to the girl whether she wants to wear FBTs or not. I'm not gonna give you a lecture if I catch you in FBTs (unless I notice that you wear them wherever you go, and I'm comfortable enough with you to say that i think they are really disgusting) But i feel that the wearing of FBTs are inversely proportionate to a girl's care for guys aorund her. Because.. yeah, it shows that you care for your brothers more than your personal comfort if you choose not to wear FBTs, even when it's not very convenient for you. BUT IT'S YOUR CHOICE. it really is. it's not wrong to wear FBTs. just that, i won't like hanging around you very much if you keep wearing them =P

And oh, about FBTs VS other short shorts. I think FBTs are the worst of them all :P No, i don't hate thailand. Yes, i do hate football, (darn, it really sucks) but that's not why i dislike FBTs. =P It's just the particular cut of FBTs. i don't know why, but it really draws attention to the leg. i mean.. other shorts of similar length but of a straight cut don't even draw half as much attention as FBTs do. I DON'T KNOW WHY. but that's the way it is, alright? plus, FBTs are of a very neutral colour, meaning that legs stand out more. As opposed to a good bright looking pair of Nike shorts. So yes, i have something against FBTs in particular. (unless they are of the more normal length, but then again i haven't seen those around in a long long while)

eh, i think i covered everything. That's it. =D

Feel free to discuss on my tag board, but i probably won't reply starting tuesday morning until two weeks time. i'll love to read the discussions on the board though. =)

PLEASE DON'T FLAME ME THOUGH. We can always talk things through nicely, i think i'm a reasonable enough guy =P
