♥ my first drum lesson

my first drum lesson.. like.. ever.

yeah. (:

i got completely pwned by james pang. fantastic drummer, really really solid.

now i have to completely re-learn my footstrokes. cool double kick techniques:D

looking forward to more lessons. (even if it does cost me $90 per lesson)

yesterday + today = FAT.

anyone ever realised duck liver is so GOOD? =)

♥ that old narrow road

walked from yesterday yan zhi's place, which coincidentally the cat high school gate that i used to cycle through everyday in my sec 3 days.

Haven't walked down that road home in more than 4 years.

Nostalgia :S

(it probably helps that i'm listening to Boston right now, makes me feel more emo. lol)

Walking down that old narrow road between cat high and whitley, i even saw my old sec 3 classroom. craaap. it feels so.. nostalgic. haha. nice feeling yet sucky at the same time! i'm sure most of u empathise. sigh.. i'll never go back to what i was. (not that i completely regret. i was a devil in sec 3. though that was my turning point year.)

then walking up and down that super hill behind cat high. goodness, primary school memories come flying back. the neighbourhood looks better generally due to new houses and new paint jobs. looking a lot more spiffy now(:

but walking on the pavement between the cars and drain, gosh, it's exactly the way it looked in primary school. i even saw all the mini paths outside the residents' houses that i walked on just side by side to their fences and trying not to fall down into the longang. even stepping on those nice little patches of grass and flower beds. (HEY I WAS IN PRIMARY SCHOOL OK!)

WHOAAAA NOSTALGIA!

kindda reminds me that all those primary and secondary cat high kids that i look at today was me not too many years ago. each with their own hopes, problems, and potential to be someone greater than what they can imagine. whoops surprise. i thought i'll fail in life and die young or something. God's good(:

♥ one more post!

hello world!

no one reads my blog anymore i bet. but oh well. :)

i'm sitting here blogging in army not cos i'm very free and stuff but because THE SYSTEM DUN FRIEND ME. it works on yan zhi's account but not mine. nvm, i chao keng and use the i-net for a while. heh.

30km tonight. shiok :D i really hope i don't collaspe along the way or something. i'm really looking forward to the sundown marathon coming up in 42km. I plan to run a 40km on the 27th of april as a final prep for the marathon. ahh.. i can't wait!!! WOO HOO! =)

on a more sad note, i ran 10:10 for SOC tonight. i spent 4 mins on the obstacles, i fell on FOUR obstacles. a pti fell on not one, not two, not three, but four obstacles. -_- throw face man.

more than noise rocks to the max! (:

and i'm seriously jealous of moses.

notes to self:
take a snack of 200-250 calories 1 hour before a run of more than 15miles(24km)
buy glucose
buy powerbars
run 1 mile repeats 30 seconds faster than race pace (8:00 - 30 = 7:30)
8 repeats this weekend, 10 repeats in a fortnight's time, 12 repeats in another fortnight

i made a hour long trip home.

to take a one hour break (bath, use msn for a while, call someone)

and am going to back a hour long trip back to camp.

So smart right.
~~i even took the mrt in the wrong direction~~
